A Little about Us…

Go Girl Communications exists for one reason: to help growing companies whose story has fallen behind their growth.

You've built something real. You've expanded, evolved, added services — and your business looks different than it did a few years ago. But your marketing is still telling the old version of your story. And that's why it's not working.

We're a strategy-first consulting firm that helps you figure out who you've become — and build the narrative and marketing to match. We don't start with content. We start with your story because your story drives your marketing. Not the other way around.

Founded in 2011 and based in the Chicagoland area, we're known for cutting through the noise, asking the questions nobody else is asking, and helping companies move forward with a clarity that actually sticks.

Meet Our Founder

With a background in English and Communications from Ball State University, Patti Minglin has always been drawn to words—how they shape understanding, build trust, and move people to act.

After building her career in the publishing industry, Patti founded Go Girl Communications to help organizations move beyond surface-level messaging and communicate with greater clarity and intention. What began as a content-focused business has evolved into a strategy-led consulting firm—rooted in her belief that strong communication starts long before content is created.

As CEO, Patti partners with business owners, leadership teams, and organizations navigating growth, change, or increased visibility. Her work focuses on clarifying messages, aligning teams, and helping leaders communicate in ways that feel grounded, confident, and human.

Deeply invested in her community and the development of women leaders, Patti serves on the Board of Directors for the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce (currently Chair-Elect) and Beautifully EmpowHERed, and participates in Naperville Community Unit School District 203 Workforce Innovation Council. She has also shared her voice from the stage through Listen to Your Mother Chicago, The People Tree, and The Moms Network on NCTV17.

It’s a focused conversation designed to help you understand what’s working, what’s not, and where to focus next. From there, we’ll recommend the best path forward based on your goals.

  • Yes. Activation is designed to build on clarity.

Before we move into execution, we need a clear understanding of your message, priorities, and what your marketing needs to do. Every Activation engagement begins with at least a Brand Alignment Session.

Some clients stop there and implement on their own. Others use that clarity as the foundation for deeper strategy or Activation work.

  • Activation is how we bring your strategy to life.

That may include your website, content, thought leadership, or a focused VIP Day—depending on what will have the most impact. Rather than offering a fixed set of deliverables, we tailor the work to your goals and priorities.
