Why I’m Bringing Back the Weekly Email (and What You Can Expect)

If you’ve noticed it’s been a while since you’ve seen my name in your inbox, you’re not wrong.

We hit pause on our weekly emails for a bit — not because we stopped believing in them, but because, like many businesses, we got busy. Serving our clients. Growing our team. Building new resources.

And you know what? That’s okay.

Sometimes, even as a marketing company, we need to step back, take a breath, and look at the big picture. But now, I’m ready to recommit to showing up in your inbox on a regular basis — and I want to tell you why, what I’ve learned, and what you can expect going forward.

Why We Hit Pause (and Why That’s Okay)

If you run a business, you know there are seasons when you’re so focused on client work that your own marketing takes a back seat.

For us at Go Girl Communications, the pause wasn’t about not having content to share — it was about making sure that when we did show up, we were doing it with intention and value.

And while I could feel the gap (and missed connecting with you!), I also know that stepping back was the right call. It gave us space to evaluate what we wanted this email to be, instead of just sending something for the sake of hitting “send.”

What I Learned While I Wasn’t Emailing Regularly

Not emailing regularly taught me two big things:

  1. Consistency matters — not just for staying top-of-mind with your audience, but for keeping you in the rhythm of sharing your expertise. When you’re out of the habit, it’s harder to start again.

  2. Your audience notices — maybe not every week, but over time, people will wonder where you went. And if you stop showing up, it can feel like the conversation just… ended.

It reminded me that email is more than just a marketing tool — it’s a relationship. And relationships grow when you nurture them regularly.

What to Expect Going Forward

Starting now, you can expect one email from me every week.

It won’t be another “here’s what’s new” newsletter or a list of promotions. Instead, you’ll get:

  • A quick story from behind the scenes at Go Girl, or my own entrepreneurial journey.

  • A takeaway you can actually use in your business or career — whether it’s about content creation, marketing strategy, or personal branding.

  • Occasionally, a peek at ways to work with us — from bite-sized online courses to 1:1 strategy sessions to full-scale content and LinkedIn support for your team.

My goal is simple: to make this the kind of email you look forward to opening — like grabbing coffee with a friend who happens to love marketing strategy.

How You Can Be Part of the Conversation

This isn’t meant to be a one-way street. If there’s a marketing challenge you’re stuck on, a question you’ve always wanted to ask, or a topic you’d love for me to cover, I want to hear it.

Hit reply to any email I send and tell me what’s on your mind. I read every single one. Or, if you can’t wait for the email to drop, send me an email now by clicking here.

If you’re not already on my list, now’s the time to join — because I’m committed to showing up, sharing real value, and keeping the conversation going. Join the Weekly Email List Here
